About the Scholarship
Scholarship Guidelines:
This scholarship must be used at the University of Texas-Arlington
Eligibility:
A Zeta Mu chapter member in good standing with the University of Texas-Arlington and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. who is NOT graduating Spring 2025:
Minimum of 3.0 cumulative GPA on a 4.0 scale
At least 80% Active Participation in chapter events and programs
Completed Scholarship Application
Application and all supporting materials are due by 11:58 pm CST, on Saturday, February 15, 2025.
If applicant becomes a finalist, a personal interview MAY BE required.
Finalist will be notified of interview during the week of Monday, March 3, 2025.
Scholarship award winner will be announced at the Xi Theta Omega and Zeta Mu joint chapter meeting on Sunday (TBD)
Application Package
Before you begin the application have the following items available to upload:
Record of participation in Zeta Mu events and programs
2 - 3 pages typed essay, 1” margin, doubled spaced, 12 point - Times Roman font style on the topic:
How do you plan to make a positive impact and support Zeta Mu in the future?
The essay must be written in your voice. The use of AI or ChatGPT is strictly forbidden. Essay's utilizing this format/software will be disqualified.
***SCHOLARSHIP FUNDS WILL BE DISBURSED DIRECTLY TO THE AWARD WINNER UPON ENROLLMENT VERIFICATION***
