SCHOLARSHIP GUIDELINES

This scholarship may be used at any four-year College or University (Trade, Technical and Cosmetology Schools are ineligible.)Â Scholarship funds are disbursed directly to the student.Â
DEADLINE: Completed application and all supporting materials are due by 11:59pm on Saturday, October 10, 2025.
APPLICANT ELIGIBILTY:Â A high school senior graduating from school in Tarrant County, Grand Prairie, TX, or the surrounding DFW Metroplex, who demonstrates leadership academically and in the community.

Minimum of 3.0 cumulative GPA on a 4.0 scale
Completed online scholarship application
Original Essay
Two letters of recommendation
An Official High School transcript emailed to academic@arlingtoneducation.org
Attend the YES Summit on Saturday, November 1, 2025.

Submission Requirements - Before you begin the application have the following items available to upload:
Two letters of recommendation from anyone (not related to you) who can speak to your college readiness, leadership ability within a club, organization, UIL group, or involvement with a community service project.
Original Essay
Topic: "What do leaders need to understand about diversity?"
Rules: The essay must be written in your voice. The use of AI or ChatGPT is strictly forbidden. Essays utilizing this format/software will be disqualified.
Guidelines: 500 word minimum (Maximum 1000 word)
