Excellence in Education

ESTABLISHED

2004

Each year, The Arlington Foundation for Excellence in Education awards more than $25,000 to support educational opportunities for scholars.

In an effort to continue our works, we’ve created a new way for businesses to partner with our Foundation to impact more youth. The AFEE Business Ten Thousand initiative offers small businesses and companies the opportunity to provide educational

scholarships to youth who otherwise would not be able to attend college.

The Honorable Elzie Odom Leader of Tomorrow $3,000 Scholarship was established to honor youth as a legacy to his service.

It is given to an African American male high school senior attending school in Tarrant County. This scholarship may be used at any two-year or four-year college or university.

Congratulations Chijioke Mgbahurike!

Brooklynn Richard was the recipient of the 2021Miss Debutante 1st Place Scholarship Award in the amount of $5,000. The members of The Arlington Foundation for Excellence in Education congratulate her on her hard work and academic achievements thus far.

Brooklynn is interested in several universities and is unsure which she will attend in the fall of 2022. Her area of study will be Public Health. Brooklynn’s ultimate career goal is to become a Pediatric Nurse. She has chosen this career path so that she can combine her love of science and children.

With this scholarship award, the AFEE  supports her continued commitment to academic excellence as she begins her college studies.
